The Schomp Automotive Group’s Family of Brands Now Includes Porsche

We are very excited to welcome a new addition to the Schomp Automotive Group. Porsche Salt Lake City is now part of our portfolio, doubling our presence in Northern Utah. The Schomp Automotive Group opened Mercedes-Benz of Farmington in 2016 and rapidly built it into a brand leader that won Mercedes-Benz’s “Best of the Best” designation in its very first year.

Elway & Schomp Partnership

The Porsche Salt Lake City acquisition is a partnership with Denver-based Elway Group and Elway executives Mitch and Gavin Pierce and Michael Maledon. According to Mitch Pierce, “We’ve shared some best practices with [Schomp’s] team over the years and I’d say there’s been a mutual admiration. Both organizations are fairly progressive with an emphasis on doing what’s best for our customers and employees.”

Porsche Salt Lake City is Utah’s only Porsche-exclusive dealership and was one of the nation’s first Porsche dealerships. As one of the 25 top-performing Porsche dealers in the U.S. it is a seven-time Porsche Premier Dealer Award winner and only one of 17 Porsche-Exclusive Manufaktur Dealers, which makes it possible for customers to fully customize their vehicles. The dealership has the largest Porsche inventory in the Intermountain Region, as well as a state-of-the-art Generation 4 Factory Dealership, one of the first in America.

Schomp Automotive is a fourth-generation, family-owned business with more than a century of retail automotive experience. It includes six dealerships in the Denver metro area, as well as the two dealerships in metro Salt Lake City. The Elway group was founded by football great John Elway and Mitch Pierce in 2004 and includes two Denver-area dealerships, as well as one in Claremont, California. Both dealer groups have been major supporters of their communities’ causes and nonprofit organizations. Porsche Salt Lake City also has a long tradition of community support, and that will continue under this new partnership.
